dammit.

Just realized I have to change the damn header. Stupid retirement. I'll change it...when I feel like tinkering with PSP...eventually. Still haven't mastered it...and probably never will.

what a strange (and long) hiatus...

Um...the dog ate my blog. Yeah, that's it. That's why I haven't posted in so long. And I just got the last piece of the website out of...yeaaaah...right. Blame it on Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. They've been taking up most of my time. Well, that and getting over being cheated on. And hell with fluorescent lighting. And retirement from said hell. And kids. And middle school. And the baby's PT and OT. And a severely sprained foot (not mine, but might as well have been...lol). And now the holidays. YAY. Anyhoo....

Not much going on around here, just getting ready for Christmas. Pretty much done shopping--just a few odds and ends left. It's a little easier now, since Bum doesn't believe anymore, and Brayden has no clue as to what the hell's going on. Dude is the oddball now...Santa still brings his presents...Bum has to pretend...or we'll take all her stuff back...lol. Joey's cousin will probably be staying with us during the holiday while she's on break from school. So that'll be fun--she was here for Turkey Day too.

Well, that's it for now...I'll probably get into detail soon...if anyone's still reading, that is.

omg

Haven't been on in a while, but if you read my tweets (see sidebar) and/or looked at my cell phone pic blog, you're probably thinking WTF is going on with the baby? Let me start by saying he's okay now...but he wasn't about a week and a half ago.

It all started when he started throwing up--rocket puke--the one morning last week. I called his pediatrician, and his nurse told me he would call me back. I waited...and waited. I was thinking, okay--this is just from the antibiotic he's on for his ear infection. About an hour later, he started throwing up again, so I called the pediatrician back. The nurse tried to tell me (over the phone) that it probably was some stomach virus that was going around, and she'd have the doc call me back. As she's telling me this, Brayden was getting all pale and couldn't hold himself up. I hung up with her and thought, screw this--we're taking him to the ER. So we did, and they checked him out. By this time, his puke was brown...he hadn't eaten anything that color...and there was a little blood in his diaper...WTF? So they took him back and got him on IV fluids...they had to do the IV in his head, since he was so dehydrated. THEN finally his pediatrician calls me. Too late, I'm already at the hospital--thanks for the speedy call back. They admitted him, and kept overnight for observation, thinking it was either a stomach virus or rotavirus. Meanwhile, he's still puking and pooping blood.

The next day, the on-call pediatrician from the practice ordered an abdominal x-ray for Sir. Afterwards, the doc tells me he has a bowel obstruction, and that he has to be transferred to Janet Weis Children's Hospital in Danville (about 75 miles away). Actually flown there via LifeFlight--that's how serious it was. So I went home to get the kids out of school, drop them off at grandma's, and pick up Joey so we could go down there. When I got home, the phone rang--it was the pediatric surgeon...they were taking Sir into emergency surgery.

OMFG. INSERT WAVE OF PANIC HERE.

I'll finish this later...

school...i mean work.

Where do I start? Pathetic--I mean Squeaky--has done enough crap lately to get her own damn entry. Why the name change? Well, that's how she sounded for three weeks, and just as many excuses why. Let's see...there was the bad infection, a hole in her larynx, and--get this--lack of sleep (she told the last one to an insomniac...lmao). WTF? Here's the kicker--instead of being forced to stay home until she can talk again, she gets the green light to come to work (per her manager)...and get paid to...wait for it...take down the office Christmas tree. There's more to this one--and it's the reason a lot of are pissed--she pulled the same crap story LAST YEAR around the exact same time. Only last year it lasted longer--from Christmas Eve straight through to Valentine's Day. She came in, did some filing and crap, then went home when she felt like it. And the manager ok'd it the whole time. Again, WTF?!? Oh yeah..the part I didn't mention? Squeaky and the manager were like friends...

Other Pathetic news:
--She CHOPPED her hair off--I mean now it's stubble. Her reason? Her mom told her she should...
--She said she might be taking the buyout this year (early retirement from the company), because she thinks people are out to get her. Why? (1)Said someone signed her name for an e-week (like a week vacation, only no pay)--people saw her sign her name to the sheet, and she has unmistakable chicken scratch for handwriting. (2)Someone put a note on her desk, saying she could leave early...then supervisor calls her asking her why she left.
--She's telling people that my friend--the nicest person in the office, imo--is going back to the manager and spreading rumors about people. Ooooookay...
--And last but not least, the one that really pissed me off. She thinks I'm going on to her MySpace, printing pics of her, and giving them to the manager, in hopes that they'll get her in trouble or something. OMFG--she's not worth wasting my time, energy, or printer ink.

Ok--I'm a little happier now...this entry is about two months of crap...I feel better now.

hola

Been a little busy around here lately...things going on at school, things going on at work, and the glorious income tax check came (and went).

School stuff is mainly PTA crap, which is at this point calling other parents to see if they can donate food and drink to the school for Founder's Day--this week. I'm the chairperson for the baking committee this year (which I kinda got volunteered for...thanks Amy...luv ya!), which means I'm the one who organizes the food donations for events. Yay. On Tuesday, I get to pack up spaghetti dinners...woohoo!

The income tax...well...it was nice while it lasted...lol. But we all got something out of it. The kids got new LCD TVs for their rooms, Joey got some fish for his tank, and we all (mostly me) got the minivan we needed! A pic of it is over at POC. It's nice...a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan. Power everything, V6, keyless entry, etc. And it came with a DVD player! We all love it, since now we're not squished like sardines. And the deal we got on it was...awesome. The piece of shit car is officially gone.

The work thing is too much for this entry...I'll have to do that one by itself.

oooooooooookay...

So yesterday, I was at work and I get this call from a lady. I ask her what city and state, and she proceeds to tell me her story. She's watching the inauguration parade on TV, and she likes the activities that are going on in it. The problem? She can't really see it, since people keep coming on and talking instead. I ask her what listing, and she tells me she wants the number for the station, so she can call them and tell them to put the parade on, and stop putting the people (announcers) on. At this point, I'm shaking my head...I ask her what station. She tells me never mind, and hangs up.

Oh, the fun of 411....

perfect

You are perfect. in every way. When I feel like I have nothing to look forward to, I look at you and all those thoughts just disappear. I gaze into your eyes, and all my problems dissolve into them. When all is wrong in my world, all I have to do is see you and I know everything will be ok. I wish I could look at the world through your eyes--without a care in the world. No bills to pay, no tomorrow to worry about. When I look at you, I get all choked up--not because I fear for you, but because I have so much hope for you. Because for now, nothing can go wrong with you or for you. You're perfect.

thoughts from 411...

...I hear dumb people.

...some of my customers make me feel like a genius.

...the IQ of people who use cell phones drops after 12:00am.

...now telemarketers call 555-1212.

...yeah, the automation sucks, but that's job security for me.

...people ask me weird things, like how to spell words, state capitals, and the price of postage stamps.

Now please don't be offended if you're a Verizon, VZ Wireless, T-Mobile, AllTel, or Cellular One (now AT&T) customer...I'm one of those customers too...just don't call 411 for really stupid reasons, or you just might get me, and you'll end up here...lol. Or in my friend's book (yes, she's got about a book worth of weird/obnoxious 411 stuff)...go check her blog out...she's here (maybe if you visit, she'll post more).
