ho ho ho?

Can you believe it--it's Christmas time here already!!!  I know it sounds weird, but that's what happened here today in Scranton.  The annual Santa Parade was this morning...pathetic but true.  We didn't go, but we watched it on TV.  Of course, it's sponsored by the mall, so you can tell how they're thinking.  More season, more money.  So that means Santa will be at the mall from today on.  Ewwww.  Also, one of the local radio stations started playing Christmas music on November 1st.  When I was informed of this, I was like, What the hell??

Personally, I think it's too early for it.  In my opinion, they should wait until after Thanksgiving--one holiday at a time, people!!!

Your thoughts?

til next time...

  1. I agree with you totally.  Went to our local mall the other day and they were playing Christmas music all ready.  If the season starts early, the stress starts early, too.  It drives me nuts.

Have a good weekend.  Take care.

  2. My thoughts, one of our local radio stations started playing Christmas music round the clock right after Thanksgiving last year.....this year they are starting on Monday.....I think they are pushing the seasons together all in one jumble....I think it's called "making bucks".....chris

  5. I sorta agree.. lol.    I hate it when they do all of the christmas festivities and movies.. before I am "set up".    So.. now.. You'll see.. I'm guilty of doing things to early.. because I feel like I need a head start to get ready.   During the month of December.. I like to sit back .. chill and enjoy.

I heard a few Christmas songs here too..   which got me going.. lol

  7. Hi; just visiting - I think each holiday should get its special attention. I wish they would not put up Christmas decorations at the mall until after Thanksgiving - that's how it was years ago when I was sooo young. Our Christmas parade is the day after Thanksgiving - I can live with that.

Scranton, Pennsylvania? I was born in Pennsylvania (Sharon) years ago.
