two for one

My challenge is not going so good.  Yesterday, nothing out of the ordinary happened, just your normal "I hate my job" day.  But today made up for yesterday--two things went wrong--and it's only 11am.

Joey and the kids had something like a sleepover last night--they all slept on the living room floor.  Before I get into the rest of the story, let me tell you something about Bum--she's a bed hog, floor hog, whatever.  She moves all over the place.  Back to the story...sometime during the night, she moved under the Christmas tree.  This tree has seen better years, and it was on its last leg--literally.  Joey woke up sometime during the night to find the tree on the floor, decorations scattered around.  Somehow she had bumped the stand, and it came crashing down.  So he rigged it up with a towel for the night.  In the morning, the damn thing fell again.  The leg broke off completely.  We tried to find something to put under it, but nothing would hold.  That's not good.  We came to the conclusion that if it falls again, we're going to take the decorations off, throw it out, and use one of the table top trees we have around the house.  This sucks.

The other thing that happened today had to do with one of the presents for Home Fry.  The main thing he wants this year is the "WWE Real Sounds Arena".  Every online store is sold out of it, and we looked everywhere.  Finally we found it on Ebay, so we bid on it.  This was a few days ago.  Today's the end of the auction.  This morning, someone outbid us.  Now it's out of our price range.  There's other auctions for it, but they won't get here in time for Christmas.

If this is a test from the man upstairs, this makes no sense.  I know there are people who are going through a LOT more than I am, but this is a lot for me.  I don't know how much more of this I can take.  What else can go wrong this month?  Stay tuned and see.
