    Sorry to read about your tree, yep sounds like you just need to use one of your table top ones for now.  What a day! Sounds like quite a mess too. Last year our 2 cats vandalized our tree breaking most of the good ornaments.

    Read your 70 things, pretty interesting.  Cool Elf name, I will have to go check out what mine is.
